Concept Store in Warsaw

Master's Degree Project

Year: 2014

Scope: Design & 3D Visualisation, Technical Drawings

The main goal of the project was to create an area for young designers which would not only promote their pieces but also provide with a space to design. The store is settled on the ground floor of a historical building in the Praga district of Warsaw, which is located in the central part of the city. Before I started designing a shopping space, I’ve learned which factors are essential in stimulating sales and how to reinvent the retail experience in order to attract customers. A unique concept store is the way to brand creator’s name in the global design stage.

Interiors are designed in neutral colour palette which is a perfect background for a variety of products. Black display furniture allows for optimum presence of the available products. These consistent black accents indicate luxury and high quality of equipment. The store area, based on ground floor, is divided in two, with one side dedicated to clothes and accessories and the other to shoes.

The first floor holds the atelier available for designers to rent and work in. The area is bright and spacious which is important for focused and effective work. Designers have an access to the kitchen and the sewing room. There are also office spaces located on the first floor. The conference room is a room provided for singular events such as conferences and meetings. It can be used by people that run the institution or by designers themselves. The floor also contains the owner’s office, the toilets and the storage. I wanted to create interiors of an intriguing and sophisticated design which explores luxury on a modern level and makes customers come back.
